European GDP Association Developments May through August 2025

Board Developments and Resolutions

• A face-to-face Board Meeting took place on 25 June 2025 in Barcelona (in parallel with the ECA GMP & GDP Forum). All Board members attended the meeting.
• The next Board Meeting will be held virtually in 2026, or earlier if required. The next in-person meeting is planned for 2027, again in conjunction with the ECA GMP & GDP Forum.

Guideline Developments

• During the Board Meeting, it was agreed to review the existing documents.

Surveys

• The group conducted a survey on the practical implementation of GDP requirements in the pharmaceutical supply chain. Participation in the survey was possible until 31 July 2025.
• A short summary has been published in the newsletter, and a detailed report has been made available for download in the members’ area.

Miscellaneous

• The European GMP & GDP Forum took place in Barcelona from 24 to 26 June 2025. The GDP Forum, which began on the afternoon of 25 June and continued on 26 June, focused on current challenges along the entire pharmaceutical supply chain. All members of the Board of the European GDP Association (GDPA) actively participated in the Forum as speakers and moderators.
• The monthly GDP newsletters have been sent out regularly.
• An article entitled “GDP Update 2024/2025” was published in the GMP Journal.
