European GDP Association Developments September through December 2025

Surveys

  • As previously reported, the Group conducted a survey on the practical implementation of GDP requirements within the pharmaceutical supply chain. Participation in the survey was open until 31 July 2025. Following the publication of the full report in August, a short summary was shared in the newsletter, and the detailed report was made available for download in the members’ area.
  • During the Board meeting, it was decided that selected aspects of the survey results should be explored in greater detail through a series of separate news articles. The first two articles, Fiscal Importation within the EEA and When Is a WDA Required?, were published in October and December respectively.

Miscellaneous

  • Monthly newsletters were distributed to the members of the Group. These included, among other content, the first part of a Questions and Answers on Transport and Vehicle Qualification.
  • It was decided to discontinue the GDP Association membership cards that have been issued in the past. The reasons for this decision include reducing our environmental footprint and avoiding the unnecessary use of plastic and paper. In recent years, a significant number of membership cards were returned, and an increasing number of members have opted out of receiving postal mail. Members were informed of this change via email.
