Visit the DHL Vienna Airport Campus

The DHL Vienna Airport Campus is a strategically important logistics hub for Austria and Eastern Europe. As part of the ECA training "GDP for Beginners", participants benefit from an exclusive airport tour, organized in cooperation with DHL.

DHL Logistics Hubs in Austria

The air- and oceanfreight specialist DHL Global Forwarding (DHL Group) operates more than 2,000 m² of state-of-the-art logistics hubs with refrigerated warehouses at Vienna and Linz airports, which meet the very highest quality and security standards. Customers from the health care and life sciences industries benefit from more than 2,000 m² of cold storage in temperature ranges from +2 to +8 °C and +15 to +25 °C.

In the course of the Covid 19 pandemic, both strategically important locations were additionally equipped with deep freezers, which enable the handling, intermediate storage and distribution of temperature-sensitive medicines at -80 °C. The warehouses meet the highest security standards according to TAPA A. They are „GDP compliant“ and certified according to IATA CEIV.

ECA Training "GDP for Beginners"

The ECA training course "GDP for Beginners" was developed to provide both beginners with a sound overview and experienced professionals with the opportunity to bring their knowledge up to date. The event will take place from 14 to 16 May 2025 in Vienna.

The first two days will focus on key requirements and current developments in the areas of storage, transport and cold chain management of medicinal products. On 14 May 2025, participants are cordially invited to a social event. This is an excellent opportunity to share your experiences with colleagues from other companies in a relaxed atmosphere.

A special highlight awaits participants on the third day: a guided tour of the DHL Campus and Vienna Airport. This behind-the-scenes experience offers valuable insights into logistics operations and infrastructure – including access to areas of an international logistics hub that are usually off-limits to the public.
